November 16th 2003 12 - 7pm - Open Studios

Forest studios launched their first open studio event in November 2003, showcasing ten artists working across a range of media including photography, installation, painting, fabric design, poetry and sound installation.

From one forest to another...

Forest studios were delighted to welcome a guest for the open studio event, Edinburgh based artist Mary Trodden, the artistic director of The Forest community cafe and gallery in central Edinburgh. Mary's work encompasses fine art, character portraits, artwork for rock bands and textiles. Mary will be displayed exhibits from her new collection of wool based creature creations. Her exhibition will feature the first theremin based sound installation by resident musician and performance artist Hypnotique.
